Lazarus 4 Days Gone [Podcast]

A fascinating look at Jesus’ raising of Lazarus.

Redemptive Withdrawal (The Cross) in John 11

Jesus remains WITHDRAWN for four days and lets Satan and his power of death (Heb 2:14) do all he can do.  Jesus Christ takes the blame from Martha for what Satan has done.

His purpose in doing so is REDEMPTIVE: to glorify His Father by raising Lazarus before a great crowd of people and “loose” Lazarus from his bindings which symbolize our bondage to sin, self, fear of death, the law and Satan’s power.

God GRIEVES and SUFFERS from the US as we suffer and die at Satan’s hands.  “Jesus wept.”

God allows Satan to suffer an aikido-like SELF-DESTRUCTIVE effect by allowing Satan to kill thereby facilitating the glory of God and our freedom from bondage, like Lazarus, thru the cross!!

Are You Marriage Material?

Preparing for Marriage

Are you approaching daily life and marriage with a SERVANT’s heart or to get your own “needs” met?

Are you personally denying yourself daily, taking up the cross, and following Jesus?

“For ye are dead, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.” Colossians 3:3

Todd Tomasella: GOT YOUR SEAT BELT ON? IN MARRIAGE, the wife is to be loved, provided for, protected, and to be cherished by the husband, even as Christ loves and does with His church (Ephesians 5:25-30). In a marriage between a man and woman that glorifies God, there must be a foundational biblical revelation of the purpose for which men and women were original, uniquely created.

Satan has come in like a massive flood upon the minds of the “weaker vessel” to convince her that she needs all kinds of things that God never ordained or said were needs. In the unchanging divine economy, the most beautiful of all His creation, the woman, is to be the “helpmeet” (companion, helper, helpmate to accomplish GOD’s will) of the man (Genesis 2:18). A godly relationship must be founded and grounded in God’s Word – both the man and woman repenting and learning and DOING what God has stated in their respective, unique roles. We must get rid of all we’ve ever learned from the wicked worldly societies we’ve learned from (Romans 12:1-2; Ephesians 4:23-25., etc.). If you are praying for that godly mate and yet are not diligently studying and learning to be a humble, serving-God-and-others disciple of Jesus, God sees it and will not plague someone else’s life by putting you with them. Those who aren’t learning to serve are devils, plain and simple. You are not ready and will not be till you lay down your own life and die. It’s time to take your own sins into account and cease pointing the finger (Job 19:28). You must trash the “What’s in it for me” motto which is for Satan’s children.

Marriage – Todd Tomasella

Lay down your life today. You’ve made religious excuses long enough. You’ve listened to the devil wolves like Osteen who promised you your best days are yet to come and yet you are an apostate counterfeit heading for hell. They refuse to preach repentance, the first word/command of the original Gospel (Matthew 3:2; 4:17; Acts 3:19, etc.). They lied to you and you listened to all because you are not yet real with God (John 3:19-21; 2 Timothy 4:2-4). If you don’t truly repent for real and you marry, you will be personally responsible before the LORD for much destruction – as in how you will be the reason for much hurt and sin in that fabricated marriage. If you choose today to truly go before God and repent, you will, without exception, trash what you’ve learned from the world and begin to allow the constitution of your heart and life to be rewritten with God’s Word. There are people all around us who’ve wasted the best years of their lives living with a prideful, self-serving heart – people who’ve prayed for a godly mate while refusing to be godly themselves said by Todd Tomasella.

Power, Love, A Sound Mind, And Divine Wisdom

Persecution, Power, Love, and a Sound Mind 2 Timothy 1:7-8

Todd Tomasella: “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 8 Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;” 2 Timothy 1:7-8

Notice in the passage above how “power” and “love” and a “sound mind” are coupled with not slandering or receiving and joining in with the persecution of a brother or sister in Christ.

May God bless each of us to walk in the wisdom of the whole counsel of His Word (James 1:5; Proverbs 8; James 3:17-18, etc.).

“But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. 18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.” James 3:17-18

Here the great apostle of Christ is in jail where he wrote this from. And, obviously, some were using his jail sentence against him. So, Paul tells his understudy Timothy, not to be ashamed of him because he’s being persecuted.

The Bible tells us that when we walk in God’s love through intimate union with Christ, even “a multitude” of the sins of others will be covered.

“But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer. 8 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.” 1 Peter 4:7-8

Case in Point

“Against an elder receive not an accusation, but before two or three witnesses.” 1 Timothy 5:19

Todd Tomasella: Note closely in the above verse, that we are not to receive any accusation against one of Christ’s elders (or any believer for that matter) without at least two actual WITNESSES. Did you catch that? Not two spreaders of slander but two people who actually WITNESSED the supposed matter/violation. Do you see the difference?

You see, we all know that one person, one devil, can accuse a brother or sister or something and then other pawns can spread the mere fabricated lie. Those are not witnesses. Those are simply people who are spreading a lie.

A man who is an elder received vicious slanderous accusations about another brother (who is a preacher). When he is “concern” contacted me about that brother, I refused his cause against that brother and told him that I have no evidence or sense that such is true about that brother and outrightly stand with that brother and against this fabricated slander. And, I stated to him that I supposed that those slanderous things came from Satan’s very children (namely jezebels). My concern then became about this accusing “elder” who would dare buy into such fabricated slander. Red flags. Paul the apostle of Christ, who was persecuted unto prison (chained down behind bars), said to Timothy:

“Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me, his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;” 2 Timothy 1:8

The next time we hear slander about a known brother or sister, like something that they did in the past (SUPPOSEDLY), let us remember the verse above and memorize it and the address of it. Let us also be filled with joy that the brother or sister being persecuted by slander must be making a great impact for Christ and against the kingdom of hell!!!!!

Now THAT’S how we need to field these things. Is this not the kingdom perspective?!

Our concern actually needs to be about ourselves if we are never slandered or maligned, lied about or persecuted in any way. According to Jesus, if we are not being assaulted, we are not “blessed” according to His divine definition and should be greatly concerned and driven to fall afresh on His mercy at the foot of the cross before it’s too late.

“Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you FALSELY, for my sake. 12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.” Matthew 5:10-12

Okay, someone may say, “WAIT, what if what people are saying about that person is TRUE?!??!!!”

Reply: DID God’s plan to crucify His only begotten Son not include forgiveness AT and AFTER He saved an individual?

If you for a moment believe a Christian can’t be forgiven of any and all sin, you have elevated sin above the blood of Christ’s cross and are in serious trouble spiritually.

If a man stands solidly on both feet in divine truth and publicly declares it, you can know of a certainty that such a man of God WILL ABSOLUTELY WITHOUT FAIL to be assaulted by “evil men” and jezebels. Remember God’s prophet Elijah and how jezebel fumed in hatred over him and swore to take his life? (1 Kings 18-19)

In fact, gentlemen, if we aren’t being lied about, assaulted, shunned, and horrifically slandered, we may wish to examine our own lives – their root in Christ and subsequent fruitfulness.

Question: Who needs to be worried?

Answer: NOT the fruitful, persecuted true disciples of Jesus but rather those who are not being fruitful and therefore attacked.

“Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! For so did their fathers to the false prophets.” Luke 6:26

“And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.” Matthew 10:22

Of course, not all sinners will hate us. Yet, the point is, if we receive no persecution, including those which Jesus specifically cites, what does that tell us of our lack of union with He who was persecuted unto crucifixion?

The Revelation 12:10 phrase “accuser of the brethren (Satan)” fits well here and that’s because these are true disciples of Jesus being falsely accused, not the wolves of Satan. Usually, that verse is taken out of context to cover for and defend absolute wolves who pose as Christ’s ministers while misleading and damning many (2 Corinthians 11:12-15). May we study God’s Word for ourselves and thereby gain a biblical clue!

Who did Jesus say is blessed? Listen to the Lamb:

“And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, blessed be ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God. 21 Blessed are ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. Blessed are ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh. 22 Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man’s sake. 23 Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets. 24 But woe unto you that are rich! For ye have received your consolation. 25 Woe unto you that are full! for ye shall hunger. Woe unto you that laugh now! For ye shall mourn and weep. 26 Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! For so did their fathers to the false prophets.” Luke 6:21-26

From our LORD’s teaching here and elsewhere, conversely those who should fear for their eternal souls: are not poor in spirit, are full and not charitable to others (givers), not hated, not separated by joined with apostates and sinners, not reproached, whose names aren’t ridiculed and mocked, laughing and having no troubles due to truly following Christ.

—– Prayer: Father, in the name of Jesus, grant my heart to be clean of all self-righteousness and an evil eye and that You would allow Your love in me to overlook the multitude of sins in others. Bless me to know that no one on this planet is less worthy of Your sheer mercy, saving than myself. Grant that my heart be broken, humble, and set upon serving You and others. You have not given Your people the spirit of fear but rather of power, love, and a sound mind. Bless me to never be ashamed of your beloved saints as they suffer slanderous persecution and imprisonment in this brief journey leading up to our eternity with You! Instead, use me to pray for aid, and comfort them in any way possible! Thank You this moment LORD, for multiplying Your wisdom to my heart and life, in Jesus’ holy name, Amen.

Seeking the Presence of the LORD?

god presence

Seeking His Presence? Beware of the many methods created and cloaked as Christian which are nothing more than an attempt to conjure up God’s presence out of a self-serving agenda. Contemplative prayer and soaking come to mind as Satan’s counterfeits.
Simply put, contemplative prayer or centering prayer, is a way of praying that is not according to the biblical prescription. Contemplative prayers and soakers are simply rebels who refuse to obey Jesus so they want Jesus to just continue to dump His Holy Spirit on their rebellious hearts.

JESUS told you to die, not to run around seeking His presence in contemplative prayer or soaking meetings – with other self-serving flakes, counterfeits. He’ll decide that how much of His holy presence He puts on individuals – according to their personal obedience. He alone decides how much of His presence He chooses to put in our lives.

obliencePsalms 16 is prophetic of Jesus who rendered perfect obedience to His Father: “For thou wilt not leave my (Jesus’) soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. 11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.” (Psalms 16:10-11)The “presence” of the LORD and “fulness of joy” He alone can give, only comes with the true disciple who is truly walking with Christ. We see this throughout Scripture.

“In his presence” sure is “fulness of joy” and He requires our obedience to bring us into His presence (Psalms 16:11).

“For he whom God hath sent (Christ) speaketh the words of God (fully obedient): for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.” John 3:34

As seen in the above verse, where Christ is our example, the LORD’s presence in our lives is contingent upon our abiding in Him, obeying Him (John 14:21-23, etc.). Seeking His presence without obeying Him, truly worshiping HIM, reveals a self-serving nature. We don’t seek the joy or His presence – We seek His face (Jeremiah 29:11-14).

IF you truly want more of the presence of the LORD, no need to mindlessly sit soaking or meditating. Get up and obey and then and only then will He graciously grant you greater anointing and reward!

We are to immerse yourself in His Word – Joshua 1:8 not mindless meditation which is new age paganism.

Many today want God to do more for them, they want more of His presence and to “soak” and yet, they’ve not obeyed Him and His simplest instructions. Not going to happen.

YOU can pray till you are blue in the face and God will not hear if you will not repent and literally obey Him: Proverbs 28:9 says: “He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law (Word), even his prayer shall be abomination.”

“If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.” John 15:7

Of course we should seek and ask Him to be anointed and full of His Spirit in order to DO His work, and yet, such comes from laying down our lives – which He then raises upward by His presence.

“Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. 11 For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh. 12 So then death worketh in us, but life in you.” 2 Corinthians 4:10-12

The resurrection presence, life, glory, and power of Jesus fills and raises up the truly obedient – those who resign themselves to the crucified life.

praygisNancy Cote notes: “This movement is growing by leaps and bounds because this generation loves signs and wonders and what their itching ears want more than Sola Scripture of solid doctrine. Dying to self and picking up their cross and preaching of The Cross that is foolishness to them.”

Yet, Jesus’ presence does not come to us just because WE want it to. Isn’t a preoccupation with seeking His presence while not obeying Him cloaked pride? There are conditions to be met – obedience and truly worshiping HIM are essential. This is in contrast to seeking His presence for our self-serving purposes. Remember how the disciples wanted to sit at His right and and His left?

“Then came to him the mother of Zebedee’s children with her sons, worshipping him, and desiring a certain thing of him. 21 And he said unto her, What wilt thou? She saith unto him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on thy right hand, and the other on the left, in thy kingdom. 22 But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able. 23 And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father.” Matthew 20:20-23

When you die – lay down your life – He will reciprocate with His resurrection life (2 Corinthians 4:10-12). That’s His promise but you must die to experience this, not try to control things yourself which is further evidence that you are not dying to self. He’s in control, not you.

Fact: Jesus says that to those who OBEY Him – live by faith – will be granted His presence, not those who selfishly seek to soak or conjure up His presence through their own merit or works for their own self–serving purposes.

Seeking His presence is paramount to seeking signs instead of the Savior Himself. What did Jesus say of the sign seekers?

“Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee. 39 But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:” Matthew 12:38-39

Seeking His Presence or Simply Obeying Christ?
“He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. 22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? 23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.” John 14:21-23

Today, so many who vainly believe they are Christ’s, are being misled into self-seeking experiences they are told are of God. Quite a contrast with New Testament disciples of Jesus we read about in the 27 book canon. The honest student of Scripture and follower of Jesus knows that a walk of faith, a denial of self (the cross), soundly grounded in the Word, is the walk of a true New Testament believer.

“And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.” Acts 5:32

It seems that today, many people claiming to know Jesus, seek to do anything except soberly and soundly follow Him, denying self, taking up the cross, and abiding in Him.

According to Jesus, in the end, at the Judgment, those who loved and obeyed Him will be received into glory and remain with Him eternally. In contrast, those who revel in the experiential, not being rooted in Christ, will be terminated into the bowels of eternal damnation (Matthew 7:21-23).

September 23 Rapture Deception

23 sept Deception

Todd tomasella: All around us we see false prophets use date-setting, manipulations, false predictions, and hysteria to deceive those who are not truly abiding soundly in Christ. This late hour is not the time to be doing anything except engaging in a grounded, cross-bearing, abiding, fruit-bearing relationship with Jesus Christ (John 15).

GOD is not going to tell you the exact day of Christ’s return. Repent and get over yourself!

“But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.” Matthew 24:36

IF we could figure out the timeline/day of Christ’s return, WHY would Jesus ever have said this?: “But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.” Matthew 24:36

Cross-Less Counterfeits Exposed

End is near

Those want to be convinced that Jesus is coming back on a certain day are Christ-denying, self-serving devils as described the Holy Spirit to us right here – watch v5 in particular:

“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power (authority, reign of Christ in their person life) thereof: from such turn away. 6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, 7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.” 2 Timothy 3:1-7

Here in Matthew 24:36 Jesus tells us that we cannot and will not know the exact day of His return. We are instructed repeatedly by Christ to live every single day as if He will return. It’s those who are not truly living for Christ daily – loving and worshiping Hm for who He is – that give ear to false prophets and cling to the date-setting hoaxes.

“Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning; 36 And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately. 37 Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them. 38 And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants. 39 And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through. 40 Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.” Luke 12:35-40

If you’ve allowed yourself to be duped by yet another date-setter who claimed to have Scripture to “prove” he knew the exact day Jesus would return, it’s time to truly repent.

IS the “man of sin” revealed? No. Watch this:

“Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, 2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. 3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;” 2 Thessalonians 2:1-3

Times and Seasons

We know “the times and seasons” but not exact day of Christ’s return. Listen please:

“And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.” Acts 1:7

“But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.” 1 Thessalonians 5:1

Divine Boldness is not Brash

divine boldness

Biblically speaking, boldness is not brashness or being obnoxious. Actually those are a bad witness, aren’t they? Boldness is simply being fully confident in Christ and not being ashamed. Boldness should be married with great joy, grace, mercy, and love.
The Bible says that “the righteous are bold as a lion” and not that “the righteous are brash as a lion.” (Proverbs 28:1)

“The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.” Proverbs 28:1

It seems obvious by reading the whole verse above, that Christ-glorifying boldness means one is grounded and confident in Christ and not timid or fearful. They are meek and temperate and settled in an abiding relationship with Jesus and therefore live free from sinful fear which is cast out by God’s love (1 John 4:16-18).

When God’s boldness is in a person through a rooted relationship with Christ, the 9 fruit of the Spirit will be manifesting (John 15:1-16).

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. 24 And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.” Galatians 5:22-24

The key to an abiding relationship, fellowship with Christ is the daily cross – out of which will unfailingly produce the fruit that glorifies the LORD.

Father, in Jesus’ holy name, please instill yourself deeply in us this day. Let our whole identity be Christ. Steep and season in us Thy grace, truth, and love LORD Jesus.

“And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word, 30 By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus. 31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.” Acts 4:29-31

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ our LORD, we ask You to grant Your people Christ-like boldness which is full of grace and truth. Quicken us in those times of persecution, to cry out to Thee for Your strength and boldness. Please keep us from misrepresenting You – from using Your holy name in vain. Bless me to be crucified with Christ, truth. In Jesus’ name.
