Why aren’t women to lead, head, or pastor a church? Because Eve was deceived. A woman, by design and necessity, lives typically more from her heart (vital for mothering), but the heart is prone to deception (Jeremiah 17:9). Therefore, the HEART does not make a good HEAD when it comes to guarding the flock in the House of God.
“Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.” ~Genesis 3:16
IN OUR MODERN, POLITICALLY CORRECT AGE, MANY WILL TRY AND REASON THIS AWAY, THROUGH LONG, TORTURED ARGUMENTS AND/OR VIA TAKING OBSCURE VERSES OUT OF CONTEXT TO JUSTIFY THE REBELLIOUS DESIRES OF THE HEART AND FLESH. BUT GOD’S WORD IS GOD’S WORD, AND IS NOT SUBJECT TO THE DESIRES OF MAN TO NULLIFY AND REVERT THE DIVINE ORDINANCES OF GOD, AS ESTABLISHED FOR THE GOOD OF OUR OWN WELL-BEING.
After all, what was the FIRST thing God rebuked Adam for? For hearkening unto the voice of his wife.
“And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;” ~Genesis 3:17
We modern day Christians may not take this seriously, but apparently, God most certainly does, whose ways are not our ways, nor His thoughts our thoughts.
“Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. 12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. 13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve. 14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.” ~1 Timothy 2:11-14
